Whether it’s magical ring bearers, gangsters or fantastic fathers, Mortensen has portrayed several strong characters. Given the number of movies he has made, making a top 10 list isn’t easy. Working alongside Ian McKellen who is also outstanding, Mortensen created a fantasy film that’s captivating.
