My Favourite Ving Rhames Movies of All-Time

Not many actors have made movies earning acclaims of Ving Rhames. Since the 1990’s, Rhames has become an African-American icon. Whether it’s corrupt gangsters, police officers or spies facing dangers, Rhames has portrayed several strong characters. Given the sheer number of movies he has made, making a top 10 list isn’t easy. Nevertheless, listed below are my favourite films made by an actor that deserves to be celebrated.

1. Pulp Fiction

Forgiveness isn’t an easy decision to make in life. Recently, I found it hard to forgive a mean cyberbully that would often insult my movie reviews online. He would frequently insult me by criticizing my movie reviews in mean ways that proved to be demeaning. An aggressive cyberbully, he became a cruel person that was truly impossible to forgive. No matter how hard I tried, I could never forgive a dark cyberbully that left me terrified. Few films I’ve ever seen have captured how forgiveness can allow people to achieve redemption as powerfully as “Pulp Fiction”. Released in 1994, Ving Rhames’ best movie captured the lives of gangsters seeking redemption. In the greatest role of his career, Rhames portrayed a powerful gangster that engages in a life of crime causing despair. This is the actor unlike you’ve ever seen him before: intense, charismatic and emotional in his most memorable role. Rhames has spent most of his career playing heroes in crime dramas. With “Pulp Fiction”, however, the actor took a huge step out of his comfort zone by playing a menacing gangster. Working alongside Bruce Willis who is also outstanding, Rhames created a crime drama that’s captivating. For instance, the scene in which Marsellus Wallace becomes a victim of rape at a toys store causing despair is one of the finest moments of the actor’s career. Ultimately, what makes “Pulp Fiction” Ving Rhames’ best movie is its bold message. The film delivers a bold message about the importance of forgiveness as a source of redemption that would resonate with everyone. Nearly 30 years after the release of a classic film about pulp gangsters with religious beliefs seeking redemption, it’s a great reminder of an actor making movies which are without a doubt worthy of immense celebration.

In the most mischievous role of his career, Rhames portrayed a bank robber engaging in a life of crime causing despair. It’s a role that gave the actor a chance to showcase his talent for playing emotional heroes under pressure. Working alongside George Clooney who is also amazing, Rhames created a crime drama that’s engaging. For instance, the scene in which Buddy seeks to prepare for his first bank heist causing despair is one of the finest moments of the actor’s career.
