As someone that’s never taken an interest in race cars with a rush, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed “Rush”. In the most energetic role of his career, Hemsworth portrays a race car driver in a rivalry with co-workers causing despair. It’s a physically demanding role that required the actor to perform racing scenes, but Hemsworth succeeded. Working alongside Daniel Bruhl who is also amazing, Hemsworth created a race car driver that’s compelling. In a genre that no longer offers the goods, it’s worth praising “The Cabin in the Woods”. Released in 2011, Chris Hemsworth’s movie offered a unique take on the horror genre. In the most terrifying role of his career, Hemsworth embodies a college student facing a monstrous cabin causing despair. It gave the actor a chance to step out of his comfort zone by playing a fearful character. Hemsworth showcased an aptitude for horror that he hadn’t shown before. As powerful as cabins which scare, it’s a tremendous reminder of a commemorated actor that has built an impressive career making timeless movies about which audiences care.

Unfortunately, “Thor: Love and Thunder” falls into the latter category. Released in 2022, Taika Waititi’s comic-book blockbuster was a disaster.
