Sarah Smith hasn’t directed any animation films in her career. This is her very first. Considering the fact, it’s surprising to see that this film is magnificent. The animation is visually dazzling; blending in with a flawless script and excellent voice-performances. Not only is the plot funny and hilarious, it also contains a strong amount of emotional depth. This depth comes from the idea of Santa giving presents for Christmas. In terms of visuals this film is astounding. The animators use an effective choice of colors to bring the characters and story out. Peter Baynham’s screenplay is filled with a large amount of clever lines. Some of the jokes in this film are even relatable for adults.

James McAvoy delivers a great voice-performance as Arthur. He captures the character’s gentle and warm personality with ease. Bill Nighy is terrific as Grandsanta; he completely absorbs himself into an old man with a charming personality.
