Animated movies rarely have perfect pacing and amazing characters. “Wreck-It Ralph”, however, gets everything right from stunning visuals to magnificent storytelling. Set in a video-game universe, this film tells the story of Ralph (John C. Reilly), a villain who wants to become a hero. When Ralph sets out to fulfill his quest, his actions lead to damage of the arcade, where he lives. 

There hasn’t been a more colorful and vibrant film this year. With a joyous message and fascinating characters, this movie manages to entertain, enthrall, and engage from start to finish. The entire cast is terrific, while the script and visuals are also praiseworthy. This movie is a treat to watch thanks to fantastic visuals. Every detail sparks off the screen like fireworks. Both the videogame and reality scenes are beautifully put together. In terms of writing, the script is filled with interesting characters and humorous dialogue. Each character is well-developed and unique in several ways. This film’s pacing is perfect, one of the many reasons why there isn’t a dull moment. Another factor that works for this movie is its soundtrack. Henry Jackman’s score matches the bright tone of this film.

The whole cast is at the top of their game. Each actor is enthusiastic and devoted to their role. John C. Reilly delivers a terrific voice performance as Ralph. He gives the character an extremely likable and larger-than-life personality. Sarah Silverman is great as Vanellope. Other standouts in the cast include Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer.

“Wreck-It Ralph” is one of the most surprising movies of 2012. Overall, it is a flawless animation film that will surely grab the attention of both adults and kids.
